Prompt
Meaning
Xfer to normal mode, start maintenance test?
This prompt appears when the user selects the battery maintenance test command while
the system is in ECO operating mode, requesting him/her to confirm or cancel
Xfer to normal mode, Start capacity test? OK or Cancel
This prompt appears when the user selects the battery capacity test command while the
system is in ECO operating mode, requesting him/her to confirm or cancel
Transfer with interrupt, OK or Cancel
The Inverter and Bypass supplies are not synchronized and transferring between the two
will cause a brief interruption in the load power supply
This operation leads to output shut-down, OK or Cancel
No alternative supply is available and any Inverter Off operation will cause the load to be
de-energised
This operation leads to inverter overload, OK or Cancel
Switching this inverter off will resulting in overloading the remaining inverter(s) in the
parallel system
Switch on local INV
Switch on PARA INV
This prompt appears when the user presses the power button, requesting him/her to
select one option or the other
Switch off local INV Switch off PARA INV
This prompt appears when the user presses the power button, requesting him/her to
select one option or the other

UPS Alarm Message List
Tables 4-5, 4-6 and 4-7 list all the UPS alarm messages based on the 'Current' and 'History' menus.
Table 4-5 UPS alarm message list
Alarm
Meaning
Input Phase Reversed
The AC input phase rotation is reversed
Input Voltage Abnormal
The mains voltage is outside the tolerance limits, resulting in the rectifier being shut down
Input Frequency Abnormal
The mains frequency is outside the tolerance limits, resulting in the rectifier being shut down
Input Under-voltage
At least one main input phase voltage is within the range 132V ~ 176V, therefore the load should be derated
Excess Auto Retransfers
The load remains on bypass power because an excessive number of transfers have occurred during the last hour
Excess ECO Auto Transfers
The load remains on inverter power because an excessive number of transfers have occurred during the last hour
Calibration Shut-down
When calibrating tower-type UPS installations, simply select the module to be calibrated via the host software. The
modules that are not to be calibrated are shut down and the ‘Calibration Shut-down’ alarm is generated
Load Sharing Abnormal
The UPS units in a parallel system are not sharing the connected load correctly
Inverter Asynchronous
The output voltage and bypass voltage are out of phase. This alarm is reset automatically once the condition is no
longer true
Overvoltage N-GND
The Neutral to ground voltage is too high. Check whether the output cable is shorted to the enclosure
Bypass Abnormal
The amplitude or frequency of the bypass voltage exceeds the limit
Bypass Phase Reversed
The bypass voltage phase rotation is reversed
Bypass Unable to Track
The bypass voltage and frequency are outside specifications
Bypass Over-current
The bypass current exceeds the nominal rated current by a factor 1.1
Bypass Not Available
Bypass output disabled in generator mode
Bypass Over-current Time-out
Bypass overload delay time-out, and the bypass shuts down
Battery Polarity Reversed
Reconnect battery and check battery wiring
No Battery
Check the battery fuse, battery and battery connections
Battery Over-temperature
The battery ambient temperature is too high. Check whether the battery ambient temperature exceeds the pre-set
value of (default value 40°C, selectable range: 25-60°C)
Battery Maintenance
Start the battery maintenance discharge test
BCB Open
The BCB has been opened
Battery terminal short circuit
Check the battery wiring, battery and cabinet port, and battery fuse for short circuits or arcing
Battery Voltage High
After connecting the battery, the system detects that the battery voltage exceeds the upper tolerance limit. Check
whether the battery terminal voltage exceeds the normal tolerance limits
Output Overload
This alarm will appear when the module load exceeds 105% of the nominal rated value. This alarm resets
automatically once the load falls below 95% of the nominal rated value
Equalise Charge Time-out
The current float charging time exceeds the time set-up in the configuration software
Battery Test Fail
The battery self-test condition is not met. The user should verify that the battery is in boost charge mode and the
load is greater than 20% of the nominal rating
MonCAN Comms. Abnormal
Communication failure between internal monitoring board and inverter, rectifier and bypass
PowerCAN Comms. Abnormal
Internal communication error between the inverter, rectifier and bypass
Discrete Bus Comms. Abnormal
Communication error on discrete bus inside the rack. We recommend checking that the rear communication cable
connections inside the rack function correctly
Ambient Over-temperature
Ambient over-temperature detector, can be set via the host software
Fan Abnormal
At least one fan is faulty.
External MIB Open
The external maintenance isolating switch has been opened
Internal MBB Closed
The maintenance switch has been closed
