10.2.1
Key Component Life Parameters and Replacement Intervals
Table 11.1 below lists the key components present in the UPS system. Failure of one of these components due to
wear and tear may lead to failure of the UPS system and prevent it from operating correctly. Therefore, regular
checks and replacement are factors that ensure a longer lifespan for these components and the UPS.

REeplacing the Air Filter
Then air filter replacement procedure described below applies to both 200kVA and 400kVA versions:
Air Filters must be inspected and replaced at regular intervals. These intervals are determined based on the
environmental conditions in the area where the UPS is installed. In normal environmental conditions, the air filters
should be cleaned or replaced every 2 months. If the surroundings are dusty or affected by of high levels of dirt
and other airborne contaminants, more frequent cleaning and replacement is required. Filters should also be
inspected and replaced more frequently in newly constructed buildings.
The UPS air filters on the rear of the front cabinet door and may be replaced without interrupting UPS operation.
The filters are held in place by a retaining bar on either side.
Figure 11-1 illustrates the air filter removal process:
Figure 10-1 Air filter replacement
•
Open the front door of the UPS to reveal the air filter on the rear of the front door.
•
Remove a retaining bar on one side and loosen the retaining screws of the fixing bar on the other side, but do
not remove it.
•
Remove the air filter to be replaced and insert a clean one.
•
Re-install the retaining bar that was removed in its original position and tighten the retaining screws.
•
Tighten the retaining screws on the fixing bar on the other side.
