Introducing UPS Operations
The UPS will automatically restart and enable output power only when the following conditions are met:
•
Auto-recovery mode configured in the event of EOD.
•
If the UPS has been set-up so that there is specific delay time following a shut down due to EOD (by default,
the delay time in the UPS is 10 minutes), once this delay period has elapsed, the UPS restarts the bypass and
then the inverter. During the delay time, the UPS will charge its batteries to provide a safety margin for
equipment shutdown if the mains input fails again.
•
Sometimes the Auto recovery after EOD is disabled. If so, users may have to restart the UPS manually by
pressing the FAULT CLEAR key first for 2 seconds and the INVERTER ON key for 2-3 seconds.
Warning
Manual start-up is disabled during the automatic restart process. Automatic restart must be configured by
authorized Vertiv engineers using the Vertiv configuration software.
