5.1.2

Removing the battery pack

The battery pack can be removed after the case has been opened (section 5.1.1). Only remove the battery if
the battery life has expired or the VR4-UWM is about to be re-deployed and needs a full battery.

Gently place the lid on a flat, stable surface and secure it so it
can’t roll.

STEP 8

WARNING

The flat surface on the underside of the lid
(see arrows in photo) is an O-ring surface
and

must not be damaged

or the receiver

may flood with water when submerged.

Position the lid and chassis so the battery is
facing up.
Be sure the
receiver
can’t roll.

Connector

Disconnect the battery
wires from the chassis
by pressing the release
tab on the connector
and carefully pulling it
out of the white
connector attached to
the chassis.

STEP 2

Remove the two rubber ties that are
across the battery. They are hooked on
the chassis at each end of the tie (see
photo on right).

STEP 3

DO NOT lose the rubber ties as
they will be needed to install the
new battery.
