1 Foreword
The Adapt mobility base for seating shells has been custom-built in line with the requirements
and wishes of future users following extensive adaptations. Numerous options and accessories
are available, thus enabling a precise, customised fit to be achieved. The mobility base for seat-
ing shells is easy to adjust and adapt. As a rule, the mobility base for seating shells can grow
with the user starting from the size supplied.
The manufacturer recommends checking the product settings regularly to ensure optimal fitting
over the long term. A six-monthly review is recommended for children and adolescents in par-
ticular.
The Adapt is manufactured in accordance with the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745.
The mobility base for seating shells has been tested and approved for the safe transport of
children in vehicles according to ISO 7176-19 and tested in accordance with the applicable re-
quirements of the European wheelchair standards EN 12182 and EN 12183 with positive results.
Report each serious incident related to the product to the manufacturer and to the relevant
authority in your country. This is particularly important when there is any worsening of the state
of health.

2 Intended use
The safe use of the product can be ensured only if it is used as intended in accordance with the
information contained in these instructions for use. The user is ultimately responsible for acci-
dent-free operation.
2.1 Indications for use
The mobility base for seating shells is intended for everyday indoor and outdoor use, by the user
or an attendant, of people with temporary or permanent limitations of the ability to walk, inability
to walk or difficulty standing up.
The mobility base for seating shells is suitable for users with intact skin whose anatomy (such
as body dimensions and weight) permits the intended use of the product.
The maximum user weight is 75 kg.
The mobility base for seating shells may be used only with the options listed on the product
order form.
Veldink4kids assumes no liability for combinations with medical devices and/or accessories for
a medical device from other manufacturers outside the modular system.
Combinations that have been evaluated for effectiveness and safety based on a combination
agreement, for example, are an exception to this.
