Curbs and steps
Warning:
Failure to observe these warnings may make you fall or tip over, which may cause serious injury
to yourself or others.
Never drive up or down a curb or step on your own unless you are an experienced user who can
confidently perform a wheelie, or you are sure you have the necessary upper body strength.
Do not attempt to drive up a high curb or step (more than 10 cm high) without assistance. Your
mobility base for seating shells could exceed its centre of gravity and tip backward (see Fig-
ure 27).
Always drive straight (at a right angle) onto or over a curb. If you drive at a different angle, there
is a high risk of falling because the mobility base for seating shells is inclined.

Using stairs
Warning:
Avoid this action if possible to prevent injury to yourself and/or attendants. Read and observe
the warnings for attendants. Failure to observe this warning may result in falling or tipping over,
which may cause serious injury to the user and/or attendant.
If a mobility base for seating shells needs to be taken up or down stairs with the user sitting in
it, this must always be done by two or more attendants.
Ensure that the user is sitting securely in the wheelchair and their arms, legs or hands do not
come into contact with obstacles.
Recommended methods of carrying the product and user:
The attendants position themselves to the left and right of the mobility base for seating
shells in which the user is sitting.
The attendants take hold of the mobility base for seating shells on the bottom of the
seat, at the front and rear.
