Faults – possible causes and remedy
If a fault can not be cleared, please contact the Customer Service
from VCS (Support@vcs.com).
The version numbers of the internal processors can be shown on a
special page. Note this information before contacting the Customer
Service.

In the address field of the browser behind the IP address of the unit,
enter
/version.htm
(e.g.
192.168.0.12/version.htm
).

Make a note of all details or print out the page.
The following table is intended to help identify reasons for malfunc-
tions and, where possible, to suggest remedies.
Problem Possible causes Suggested remedy
No connection
between unit and
terminal program. Faulty cable connections. Check all leads, plugs, contacts and
connections.
The computer's serial interface
is not connected. Check other serial interfaces.
Interface parameters do not
match. If necessary, select a different COM
port, make sure that the computer's
interface parameters match with those
of the unit. Possibly select the following
standard parameters: 19,200 Baud, 8
data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. Subse-
quently turn off power to the unit and
turn on again after a couple of seconds.
No picture transmis-
sion to remote station. Defective camera. Connect local monitor and check
camera function.
Faulty cable connection. Check all leads, plugs, contacts and
connections.
