13.3.5.3 Replacing oil separator elements
When the pump has been in operation for a long
time, the flow of air through the pump can be blocked
by particles of dirt trapped in the oil separator
elements. The pump then consumes more current. In
extreme cases, this can cause the vacuum packaging
machine to cut out. There is also no longer any
guarantee that the particles of oil will be effectively
separated from the air. In that case the oil separator
elements (6) have to be replaced. In order to do this,
take the screws out of the cover (7) of the oil
separator insert housing in order to remove it. The oil
separator elements can then be replaced.
