9.5.2.3 Vacuuming in stages up to the setpoint (C)
§
Suitable for sensitive and porous products which may inflate or explode is they are vacuumed too
quickly because they can only release gas slowly.
If this type of vacuum generation is selected, a “C“ is shown on LED display 1.
Vacuuming commences at 500 ‰ and is then continued in defined stages at defined intervals until the
setpoint is reached.
IMPORTANT
This type of vacuuming must be activated in the service program! The procedure is described
in the section on the “Service program”.
9.5.2.4 Standby vacuuming
This type of vacuuming is used in certain exceptional cases (if the vacuum measurement is flawed).
Vacuuming takes place during the set time instead of the vacuum measurement.
IMPORTANT
This type of vacuuming must be activated in the service program! Contact the VC999 Customer
Service Department before activating it.
9.5.2.5 Intermediate ventilation
§
Suitable for moist products which tend to become foamy in a vacuum.
During intermediate ventilation, the vacuum chamber can be ventilated briefly after the welding bars
have been put in place. This causes the bag to fit tightly around the product, preventing foam
developing. The time for the intermediate ventilation is entered in seconds.
IMPORTANT
Intermediate ventilation should only be done if you are working with a high vacuum setpoint or
in “vacuuming until evaporation point” mode! Keep the intermediate ventilation time as short as
possible.
9.5.2.6 Welding
During welding, the welding wire is heated on the welding bar. The welding time must be calculated on
the basis of the bag material and the thickness of the material. It can be set to a time between 0 and 5
seconds. If you enter 0, the welding function is switched off completely.
