Suitable Paper Types
The scanner may not support the full range of paper types that may be used by
the printer. The following paper categories are supported by the scanner.
•
White paper:
Any matte original printed with inkjet technology (e.g., anything
printed on Universal Inkjet Bond Paper, Coated Paper, Heavyweight Coated Paper,
plain paper).
•
Photo paper:
Glossy and satin originals. Inkjet, offset, and traditional photo
technologies are supported (e.g., any photo or other image printed on Universal
High Gloss Photo Paper or Premium Instant Dry Gloss/Satin Photo Paper).
Note:
For some specific photo originals, completely accurate results may not
be achieved.
CAUTION!
CAUTION!
Photo and glossy papers may be scratched while passing through the scanner.
•
Translucent paper:
Semi-transparent tracing papers (> 65 g/m²), including Natural
Tracing Paper, Vellum, and Translucent Bond.
•
Blueprints:
For scanning blueprint originals with optimum results, in grayscale
only. This option greatly enhances the contrast of the resulting image.
•
Unsupported Paper Types: This scanner does not support the following paper
types:
•
Film
•
Backlit material
•
Cling material
•
Translucent paper (< 65 g/m²)
CAUTION!
CAUTION!
Do not use documents with staples or rough surfaces/materials than can damage
the scanner glass
