Troubleshooting Scan and Copy Issues
Vibration
If the printer is not properly placed on a flat surface or if the
scanner lid does not close correctly, you may sometimes find that
the scanned image suffers from vibration (original on left, scanned
image on right).
1. Place the scanner on a flat surface and close the scanner lid
correctly. Rescan the original.
2. If the problem persists, change (increase or decrease) the
scanning resolution and re-scan the original. If possible, turn
the original 90 degrees before rescanning.
3. If the problem persists, analyze pattern

plot. If you see the problem shown on the right, contact your
VariQuest dealer and report a “vibration problem.”
