This chapter explains how to change the center-dry tape
adhered to the upper pressure lever.

Lift up the frame cover.

Remove the both right and left side E-rings
installed to pressure lever using a slotted
screwdriver. Pull out the pin.

Lift up the pressure lever and remove the
sponge rubber.

Remove the damaged center-dry tape.
Insert the edge of new center-dry tape to the
gap between the sponge holder and the pressure
lever. Please make sure that the adhesive side is
facing to the pressure lever.

Cut excess tape using scissors.

Fold the other side of the tape to the opposite
side of the sponge holder. Adhere to the
pressure lever.
[Replace when] When the fluoro glass sheet breaks,
burns, or when the seal becomes
messy, etc.
[Essential tools] Scissors, slotted screwdriver

(For double-side heating models)
Attention
When it is hard to adhere the center-
dry tape to the pressure lever, insert a
thin ruler between the sponge holder
and pressure lever. Then slide it while
pushing the center-dry tape on to the
pressure plate.
Attention
Apply the tape so that the non-
adhesive central part of the tape
covers the heating element.
If the tape is wrinkled, it will negatively
affect to the seal finish. Make sure
there is no wrinkles on the seal area.
