Install Electrical Wiring (if required)
This section provides information to install the elec-
tric pre-wiring required for use with the optional
1595CFKV2 Circulating Fan Kit and/or the GV60WIFI WiFi
Kit.
All wiring must be done by a quali
fi
ed electrician in
accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local
codes, with the
National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70
or
the
Canadian Electrical Code, CSA C22.1
.
Electrical Requirements
1595CFK—120 VAC, 60 Hz, less than 1 amp
GV60WIFI—6 VDC (from receiver), less than 1 amp
General Requirements
Both optional 1595CFK and GV60WIFI kits require a
GV60VM power supply (known as a V-Module), which
includes a three-prong grounded plug to plug into a
grounded receptacle installed within the
fi
replace en-
closure by a quali
fi
ed electrician.
The receptacle, housing, and strain relief are supplied
and installed as part of the
fi
replace.
Notes
• We recommend connecting the electrical box even if
the optional accessories have not been purchased. It
is much easier to wire before wall
fi
nish is applied.
• Wiring within the receptacle enclosure must have a
minimum 90°C temperature rating.
• Wire nuts not included.
Installation
1. Locate the electrical housing. It is behind the front
panel of the
fi
replace in the bottom right corner.
2. Remove the inner cover (2 screws).
3. Pull the inner cover and receptacle (attached) out of
the
fi
replace.
