4.3.1 Starting and Exiting WeatherView
Depending on your user profile and system configuration, the WeatherView application may
start automatically when you log in to an AviMet workstation, or you can open it using the
WeatherView shortcut icon, for example, in the desktop. Depending on the configuration,
WeatherView will open in full screen mode, or in the standard application mode.
The application must be open at all times to ensure that the system can update the data on
the screen. When you do not need to view the WeatherView data, you can minimize the
WeatherView application.
If you close WeatherView, you cannot view or hear windshear and
microburst alerts.
CAUTION!
Do not exit the WeatherView application unless you have a special reason,
such as system maintenance.
CAUTION!
4.3.2 Switching between Views

Depending on the configuration of the system, there might be several weather data views
available.
1. To navigate between the available views in the WeatherView application, click one of
the navigation buttons.
4.3.3 Switching between Day/Night Display Mode
1. Click the day/night button in the application header once.

4.3.4 Monitoring Windshear and Microburst Alerts (Text
Format)
When the software detects windshear conditions, it displays a windshear or microburst alert
in the WeatherView application. The alerts are displayed in text format on the LLWAS screen
and indicated with a red alarm frame and the optional beeping sound.
The LLWAS screen also displays the estimated location of the first encounter with the
