Explanation
NUMBER 1/8
This option allows to select the zone number to be masked. This
operation is allowed for 8 zones max.
With the joystick set the zone number to be stored.
MASK EDIT
This option allows to define the zone where to activate the
masking of the images displayed on the monitor. By framing the
zone central point, in the sector to be masked, with the joystick
and by pressing IRIS+ is selected the central point used to extend
the masking area (zone). It is possible to change it by pressing the
buttons FOCUS + and FOCUS - to adjust the height and IN and
OUT to adjust the width (see below).
MASK DISPLAY
ON/OFF
If enabled (ON), the masked sector becomes active and disables
the image viewing.
PROCEDURE
Point the MaskiZone item with the joystick and select it.
The following screen will appear.
Point the Mas Edit item with the joystick and select it.
A cross-shaped pointer will appear on the monitor: this pointer will correspond to the middle of the privacy zones
being created.
Point the cross-shaped cursor to the required position by moving the joystick in the vertical and horizontal
directions.
Press
IRIS+.
A square will appear on the monitor (with the previously defined features).
Use the joystick to obtain the required dimensions of the privacy zone:
o
Zoom+ to increase the left and right edges of the blanking zone
o
Zoom- to decrease the left and right edges of the blanking zone
o
Far to increase the upper and lower edges of the blanking zone
o
Near to decrease the upper and lower edges of the blanking zone
At this point, either select a new privacy zone or select
IRIS-
to quit the menu.

IMPORTANT NOTE
It is preferable to set the privacy zones with a zoom level of 1x.
It is not possible to set the Privacy zone with Tilt coordinate higher than 70.
REMARKS OF PRIVACY ZONE
Some remarks on privacy zone operation are given in this section.
o
Privacy zones can be programmed (and therefore the menu can be opened) in optical zoom situations only.
The privacy zones work also in digital zoom conditions.
o
The privacy zone rectangle will move on the screen when panning and tilting. Zoom will expand or contract
the rectangle.
o
applied zoom (regardless of the x2 or x4 factor applied while zooming).
o
It is suggested to use privacy zones slightly larger than the area to be masked.
o
Privacy zones can only be rectangular or square, but several rectangles can be superimposed to mask the
area as required.
