Set the CONTROL key switch to the ON position and verify that there is no water
leakage from the cooling system. If there is water leakage:
a)
Immediately set the CONTROL key switch and the MAIN POWER switch to the
OFF position.
b)
Wait for 5 minutes, then repair the site of the leakage (refer to Chapter 7).
c)
Dry the locations of the leaked water.

Install the laser oscillator head cover.
18.
Turn on the power to the YAG laser and set the flash lamp pulse width to 1.0 msec and
the voltage to 400V.
19.
Pulse the flash lamp approximately 500 times with the resonator shutter closed.
Alignment Of The Beam Into The Fiber Optic Cable
Preparation.
To prepare for aligning the beam:
1.
Remove the laser oscillator head cover.
2.
Refer to Figure 8-1. Pull the tip of the oscillator cover interlock
switch and switch it to the maintenance mode.
3.
Turn on the power to the laser. The alarm lamp will light,
indicating that the interlock is disabled.
4.
Turn on the CONTROL key switch.
5.
Turn off the high voltage (HV: OFF)
6.
Turn ON the aiming laser beam (POSITION: ON)
