If the schedule is set this way, the capacitor does not need to be discharged for the second laser
pulse. So, the schedule can be changed relatively quickly.
Applying Multiple Weld Schedules.
When welding is performed repeatedly according
to schedules where VOLT A or VOLT B is set to different values in the schedules, a discharge
cycle time is required because the capacitor voltage needs time to change. Figure 6-7 is a graph
that shows you how to determine the time needed for the discharge cycle. Figures 6-8 and 6-9
illustrate two situations: single shot and with waveform control.
