Insert one screw through the drive holder into the
right side of the device.
6.
Place the drive holder halfway into the computer and
reattach the cables to the CD-ROM player.
7.
Attach one SCSI ribbon cable connector and one 4-pin
power cable to the new device.
See the section “Attaching Cables to Internal Devices” later in this
chapter.
8.
Slide the drive holder all the way back into the com-
puter.
9.
Replace the cover and front panel of the computer.
See “Removing and Replacing the Cover and Front Panel” earlier in
this chapter.
To install a 1-inch hard drive in bay number 5:
Bay number 5 is toward the left side of your computer as you face the
front panel.

Remove the two screws from the front of the mounting
bracket.
The bracket slides out toward the back.
