Assembly
This section contains instructions required for
assembly of the Seed Tender.
For your safety, and the safety of others, use
proper tools and equipment and always use safe
working procedures. Refer to these instructions
before starting any work on the machine.
SECTION III
ASSEMBLY
SEED TENDER ASSEMBLY
IMPORTANT: The procedures for assembling this
unit are intended for two or more people.
For ease of assembly, install all hardware loosely
until assembly is complete and then tighten ac-
cording to Torque Chart in the Service Section
of this manual.
ASSEMBLE HITCH TO UNDERCARRIAGE
CAUTION! BE SURE HOIST IS SAFETY
RATED FOR AT LEAST 1,000 LBS. FAILURE
TO DO SO WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO MACHINE
AND MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
WARNING! DO NOT WORK UNDER
MACHINE AT ANY TIME WHILE BEING HOIST-
ED. INADVERTENT FALLING OF MACHINE WILL
CAUSE SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
1. Place jackstand rated for minimum 1000
lbs. capacity under front of undercarriage
frame. Raise hitch using a hoist or lifting
device with a minimum 1000 lbs. capac-
ity, and place the hitch in line with the
undercarriage.
2. Connect the electrical connections, and
push extra wire harness into tubes. Move
hitch against undercarriage frame being
careful not to pinch the wiring harness.
3. Bolt the hitch to undercarriage using cap-
screws 5/8-11UNC x 2 (9390-124) and 5/8-
11UNC locknuts (9801). Torque 5/8-11UNC
hardware to 120-135 ft.-lbs.
