Command field
The command field consists of 1byte values (0x00 to 0xFF). The command type consists of Write
and Read.
The Write command changes parameter set values or executes each operation.
The Read command is a command that requests parameter settings, data, and status information.
●
Data field
The data field is a field for transmitting data to complement each command. For the commands
with which data needs to be transmitted, the data needs to be transmitted following the command.
The data length is up to 7byte and 8byte in total together with the command.
In some cases, data does not need to be received depending on the command, resulting in a data
length of 0 byte (no values included).
Based on the data length information included in the header field, power supply estimates the data
length to be transmitted.
For details on data, see the command list to be described later. See [Tables 6-4 and 6-5].
If the data field is 2byte or more, the byte order will be little endian.
●
Checksum
The checksum is the last field of a packet which is 1byte.
The content of this field is determined by the value of the information (the header field, command
field, and data field) before the checksum.
This value is determined by accumulating exclusive ORs (XORs) of all the information included in
a packet before the checksum byte (the checksum excluded). The receiving unit accumulates the
XORs of all the bytes in the packet including its checksum and, if the result is 0, it is judged that
the packet is received correctly.
