5.02 Troubleshooting
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK can kill.
Follow all safety precautions.
Do not touch live electrical parts.
Turn OFF input power before servicing the machine unless otherwise noted.
Only qualified technicians are to service the machine.
WARNINGS
PC boards and their components are static sensitive devices.
Use static proof bags.
Use grounded wrist strap.
Only qualified personnel should test or handle these devices.
Use only genuine replacement parts.
FAULT
CAUSE

1 Power On Indicator
light is not lit and
welding arc cannot be
established.

Switch on rear panel of Wirefeeder
is not turned ON.
Power Source is not turned ON.
19 Pin control cable is not
connected between the power
source and Wirefeeder.
Check for either 115VAC or 42VAC
is being provided from the power
supply via the 19pin connector.
Circuit Breaker/s on rear panel
is tripped (pops out). Refer to
Subsection 4.02 for further detail.
Faulty 19 Pin control cable
connecting power source and
Wirefeeder.
Defective ON/OFF SW1.
Defective Circuit breaker CB1 or
CB2.
Defective BR1 or BR2.
Defective Motor Control PCB1
measure for supply voltage between
F9 to F10.

Turn switch on rear panel of Wirefeeder
to ON.
Turn power source ON and ensure it is in
the correct mode of operation.
Connect 19 Pin control cable between the
power source and Wirefeeder.
Pin E to F 115vac or Pin S to F 42VAC
Reset circuit breaker by pushing it in.
If it fails to reset, check whether the
input rectifier is shorted following the
instructions in Section 5.09. Replace the
input rectifier if it is shorted.
Repair or replace the 19 Pin control
cable.
Refer to Section 5.08. Check ON/OFF
SW1. Replace if it is defective.
Measure the continuity of CB1 or CB2.
Check input BR1 and BR2. Refer to
Section 5.09.
Check PCB1. Refer to Section 5.11.
