TELESCOPIC LADDER: INSTRUCTION FOR USE

2. Operation:
2.1 Before use:

The ladder must be examined on delivery and prior to use to confirm that it is in good condi-

tion and that all of its component parts are operating properly.

 

-  Visually check the ladder every time you use it to make sure that it has not been damaged and can be 

used in complete safety (See 3 Maintenance).

 

-  Make sure that you are in sufficiently good health for using a ladder. Certain medical problems and 

the consumption of medicines, alcohol or drugs may be sources of danger when using a ladder.

 

-  Check that the ladder is suitable for the job to be done.

 

-  Do not use a ladder that has been damaged or modified.

 

-  Remove any possible contaminants that may be on the ladder (fresh paint, mud, oil, snow, etc.).

 

-  Make a regular visual check of the product before use.

 

-  Before using the ladder in a professional environment, make a risk assessment in accordance with 

the legislation in force in the country of use.

 

-  Check that none of the uprights are bent or cracked.

 

-  Check that the components are in good condition.

 

-  Check that no connections to the beam/cleats are missing.

 

-  Check that no rungs are missing, worn or damaged.

 

-  Check that the locking system remains horizontal and is not missing, bent or slack.

1. Description of equipement:

The « 

X-TENSO 

2

 

» is a telescopic ladder. The ladder is made in aluminium 

for optimal comfort and ease-of-use. It is equipped with a “braking” system 

that prevents the different elements of the ladder from closing too quickly 

and, in this way, increases user comfort and safety.  The different elements 

slide on Teflon rings. Models over 3 metres high are equipped with a 

retractable base.

The « 

X-TENSO

 » is fitted with a strap for holding all the elements 

together for storage and transport purposes. The ladder may only be used 

by one person at a time (maximum load 150 kg) (See 2.4 Recommendations 

for use) A high-resistance, extremely dependable step holding system 

(See 2.2 Handling the product). The model is extremely compact for easy 

storage and transport.
