Warning!
Risk of injury due to ozone!
Before re-entering and granting
general access to the room, the
ozone concentration must always
be checked by specially trained
and authorised personnel!
After the cleaning has been completed, the room must
be well ventilated. Open all of the available windows
and doors. Make sure to take the corresponding safe-
ty measures (see chapter "Special safety instructions
for the operation of ozone generators").
Before entering the treated room after the device has
been switched off, however, a waiting period must be
observed.
Within this safety time period, the (natural) degrada-
tion of the remaining ozone will take place breaking it
down into divalent oxygen (0
2
). Afterwards, the ozone
concentration should have fallen below the required
MAC value (value of the maximum admissible work-
place concentration of a substance) of 0,2 mg/m³.
Ozone has an average half-life period of ap-
prox. 30 minutes. The following empirical values can
therefore be used in order to determine the regenera-
tion time:
Operating time
Regeneration time
24 hours
12 hours
48 hours
24 hours
Emergency shut-down
If the ozone generator must be switched off during a
running cleaning cycle, this may not be done by ac-
tivating the power switch, i.e. at the device itself, for
reasons of safety.
In this case, the power plug located outside of the
treated room should be disconnected from the power
supply.
Warning!
Risk of injury due to ozone!
Do not enter a room to be cleaned
during a running cycle!
13. Care and maintenance
Warning!
Risk of injury and damage to the
device!
Do not attempt to carry out any
unauthorised modifications on
the odour neutraliser.
Have all repairs carried out by
a certified specialist workshop
only!
Danger!
Danger to life through electrical
shock!
Pull the power plug out of the
socket before carrying out any
work on the device.
Do not bypass any of the electri-
cal safety devices!
In order to ensure a correct functioning and trouble-
free operation of the device, it must be regularly
cleaned and maintained.
The frequency and type of the maintenance work es-
sentially depends on the operating environment as
well as on how the odour neutraliser is used and for
what periods of time.
In the course of time, dust and moisture gather on the
assemblies which can impair the functioning and the
performance of the device.
In rooms with a high level of dust and contamination
or after post-fire restorations (high level of humid-
ity), you should already check if there is any need for
maintenance after only a few uses of the device.
