Troubleshooting

Pressure indicator 

doesn’t move up, or 

pressure doesn’t build 

in the unit.

Steam escapes from 

under the lid.

Steam escapes from 

around the pressure 

control valve. 

Pressure indicator 

doesn’t move down 

and unit is not properly 

closed.

Cannot open and/or 

close the pressure 

cooker.

Violent steam sprays 

out of the safety valve.

Sealing ring extrudes

The temperature setting is too low. 
There is not enough cooking liquid within 

the pot. 
The lid handle and pot handle are not 

correctly fitted and pressure safety lock 

is not in the correct position.

The unit is filled past its maximum 

capacity.

Set the pressure control device 

to steam releasing position, 

and wait until the pressure is 

released from the unit.

Reduce pressure level on 

the pressure control device.

Turn the heat off immediately and 

set the pressure control device 

to steam releasing position. 

Once the pressure is completely 

released, open unit and check the 

venting pipe and safety valve for 

obstructions. Necessary cleaning 

for the venting pipe and safety 

valve must be done as instructed.
Replace the sealing ring.
Turn the heat off immediately and 

wait until the pressure in the unit 

is completely released. Fit the 

sealing ring around the groove in 

safety valve.

Mark O on lid doesn’t match with  

marked on the pot handle.
