Unwarranted driver failures while using an older miniSAS cable. If using an older cable that is near the life
expectancy, replace the miniSAS cable.

documentation, which might also point to fault detection tools that report errors and preserve the system
configuration. Other useful resources include the drivers matched with the operating system.

Operating system problems

Acting system locks up

Scan for viruses with an updated virus scan utility.

Review the system event log.

Review the BIOS log.

Gather the BMC SEL information for review, if needed.

Follow the information provided in the error log, and then see the operating system documentation.

Problems occur after the installation of a service pack
Follow the instructions for updating the operating system.
Operating system updates
Use care when applying operating system updates (Service Packs, drivers, and patches). Before updating
the operating system, read the release notes for each update. If you do not require specific fixes from the
update, TradeDX recommends that you do not apply the updates.
If you decide to apply an operating system update:
1.
Perform a full system backup.
2.
Apply the operating system update, using the instructions provided.
3.
Install the current drivers.

Restoring to a backed-up version
If you recently upgraded the operating system or software and cannot resolve the problem, you can try
restoring a previously saved version of the system. Before restoring the backup, make a backup of the
current system. If restoring the previous system does not correct the problem y
