Mode 3 (9-bit UART Mode)
The 9-bit UART mode can be specified by setting
SC0MOD <SM1, 0> /SC1MOD <SM1, 0> to “11”. In
this mode, parity bit cannot be added
For transmission, the MSB (9th bit) is written in SCM0D
<TB8>, while in receiving it is stored in SCCR <RB8>.
For writing and reading the buffer, the MSB is read or
written first, then SC0BUF/SC1BUF.
Wake-up function
In 9-bit UART mode, the wake-up function of slave
controllers is enabled by setting SC0MOD <WU> /
SC1MOD <WU> to “1”. The interrupt INTRX1/INTRX0
occurs only when <RB8> = 1
.
Note:
TxD pin of the slave controllers must be in open drain output mode.
