Installing an Expansion Card

To install an expansion card in the computer, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-13
through 4-16.

1.

Place the computer right side up with the back facing you.

When installing a Mambo board, connect the 

Z connector cable

 and 

feature

connector cable

 to PJ581 and PJ580 on the system board. Be sure to align the Z

connector cable with the red stripe to the right and the feature connector cable
with the red stripe to the left.  Note that the connectors on these cables are keyed
for proper installation (Figure 4-14).

Fit the right side of the expansion card into a pair of 

card guides

.  Note that

smaller cards do not use the guides (Figure 4-15).
