2.3 TC-net I/O Loop Wiring
On the type1 light controller module (PUM12), TC-net I/O loop cables are connected to
TC-net I/O loop transmission connectors (LP1, LP2) to input/output TC-net I/O's I/O
data. For details, check on TC-net I/O Operation Manual (6E8C5098).
Precautions on TC-net I/O loop cable
• As TC-net I/O loop cable, use a GI optical fiber cable with duplex LC connector (core
diameter/clad diameter: 50/125 or 62.5/125).
• The maximum length between TC-net I/O loop Nodes is 2km. The total length of
TC-net I/O loop is 4km.
• Connect the GI optical fiber cable with duplex LC connector, with careful attention to
the orientation of TC-net I/O loop connectors (LP1 and LP2) on the controller module.
• TC-net I/O loop cable can be converted to an Ethernet cable by applying an
electro-optic repeater (RP913) to TC-net I/O loop.
• For an optical fiber cable, the minimum bend radius is 10 times its outer diameter.
Avoid wiring that makes the bend radius below it.
Connecting TC-net I/O loop cable
• Connect the controller module (PUM12) and TC-net I/O Nodes with T/C I/O loop
cables in the combination of LP2 and LP1, starting with the smallest Node number
Node.

Important
• For an optical fiber cable, the minimum bending radius is 20 times outer diameter of
the optical cable while lying. It’s 10 times after laying. Please wire so that it does not
become the bending radius less than that. Otherwise, it may cause a wire break or
failure of the optical fiber cable.
