WinDVD
Playing DVDs
TECHNICAL NOTE: For optimum DVD performance, always
play DVDs while your computer is connected to AC power.
If your computer has a DVD-ROM drive, you can use InterVideo
WinDVD
™
to play DVDs. WinDVD is an easy-to-use, full-
featured multimedia control center that helps you get the most out
of the exciting world of DVD technology. Your computer comes
with WinDVD preinstalled.
WARNING: Before playing a DVD, turn down the volume.
Playing the disc at maximum volume could damage your
ears. See
“Using the control panel playback buttons” on
to locate the volume control buttons.
Insert a DVD into the DVD-ROM drive, following the instructions
in
“Inserting compact discs” on page 99
. The computer
automatically detects the disc in the drive and opens WinDVD.
