1.09 The models:
The models should be handled with care. They are designed to be as robust as possible within the
constraints of their size.
Most boats use the standard catch system. The alternative catch system is used on 80cm riverboats, 60cm
pirate ships and 140cm power cruisers.
1. Carefully unpack the models and place them near their driving positions.
Tip!
Use spare packing material to protect the underside of the hulls and prevent damage to the propeller shaft
and propeller. The boats are supplied with propeller guards to help with this.
2. For boats with the standard catch system - Remove the top of the model by rotating the thumbscrew,
then gently slide the top forward to release the front catch (See Dia 1)
For boats with the alternative catch system - Remove the top of the model by rotating the thumbscrew,
then gently slide the top backward to release the rear catch (See Dia 2)
3. The boats are supplied with the receiver already installed in each boat hull. Connect the receiver’s battery
and motor leads to their respective contact points on the battery contact assembly (see Dia 3 and 4)
Do not connect the battery to the model at this time.
