Incoming call
Voxell LCR interface receives a call over the mobile network. The equipment sends a call
signal to the analog phone that is connected to FXS, or to the PBX exchange; in the second variant
the exchange switches the call to a local subscriber.
Outgoing call
The PBX exchange must be configured to output the calls through Voxell LCR. The user
simply dials the wanted number from an office telephone.
PBX processes the number and analyses the prefix and sends it to the outgoing trunk where
Voxell LCR is installed. Then Voxell LCR transmits the call to the mobile network.
For further details of operation, please see the OAM manual!
7.3
Using the FXO interface
For this, the FXO interface of Voxell LCR is used. Connect it to a local extension (subscriber
line – FXS port) of the phone exchange.
Figure 11.: Connecting to an extension
This kind of connection is very useful especially when there are no analog trunks available:
for instance the PBX exchange is entirely configured as ISDN type, or when the branch exchange
simply has no more free analogue trunk (all of them are used).
