Layer 3 does not initialize:
•
Verify that the correct SPID number is programmed.
•
Verify with the serving telco that they have not changed from a
customized to a universal SPID format.
•
Verify with the serving telco that they have not changed their
office to a new area code (some SPID formats include the area
code).
•
Enter the correct SPID or SPID format.
With full initialization, proceed to the following steps.
Verify operation of the telephone by accomplishing the following:
1. Access an idle line.
•
Does the line LED indicate active status?
•
Is dial tone heard?
2. Dial any directory number for a test call.
•
Did the call go through?
