Choice of operation mode
This device may be used in two different operation modes.
Used as an adapter, this device renders an (ISDN)PBX-system with analog
extensions VoIP-compatible. The “normal” CO-line access results in a call via the
conventional telephone network. A VoIP-call can be made upon calling the extension
to which the tiptel 106 VoIP is connected.
As switch this device permits a more comfortable dialing e.g. for single telephones or
PBX-systems with analog outside lines. The decision regarding the network will be
made within the tiptel 106 VoIP. Additionally, blocked numbers and numbers which
should always be dialed via the conventional telephone network (e.g. emergency
numbers or 0800 numbers) can be registered at the tiptel 106 VoIP.
