Outgoing Internet calls (Internet telephony)
To initiate outgoing calls over the Internet, lift the receiver on the telephone
connected to your tiptel 106 VoIP. You usually hear the internal dial tone of the tiptel
106 VoIP.
Depending on the selection of the preference VoIP / conventional telephone network
(see configuration software) you have to dial the button # on your telephone in order
to change to the respective other network.
Now dial the number of the person you want to call.
Note:
The dialing tone of the tiptel 106 VoIP resounds only for a few seconds.
If you do not hear the dialing tone any longer, the device assumes that
you finished entering the number. Thus, it tries to build up a
connection.
In the configuration software under “expert mode - time between two
dialing digits” you can indicate a waiting time of up to 10 seconds. After
entering the last digit the device waits for 10 seconds before starting to
dial.
To speed up the connection, dial
after the last digit of the call number.
Please refer to the tariffs and conditions provided by your Internet telephony provider.
To end a call just hang up the receiver.
Incoming Internet calls (Internet telephony)
Upon an incoming Internet call the tiptel 106 VoIP adapter signals at the connected
telephone (or in case of a connected PBX-system at the extension assigned to the
CO-line).
To end a call just hang up the receiver.
