Insert the supplied RJ11-RJ11 cable into the "PHONE" socket (see above)
and in an analog telephone set to tone dialing (DTMF). Check which sockets
the telephone uses! To meet international standards the "a/b" pair of wires
must be in the middle on contacts 3 and 4. Older Deutsche Telekom and
Siemens telephones may use other sockets. If this is the case use an
adapter cable (not supplied).

Ensure that the "LINE" socket is not used! If necessary remove the cable that
is plugged in there.

When you lift the receiver of the analog telephone you will hear an
interrupted dial tone. Immediately dial

in quick succession.

An announcement is made in English. After the message ends dial

. The digits entered are read out for checking. The "Value
saved" message is given as a confirmation. This switches off the DHCP
client in the tiptel 106 VoIP.

Now enter the IP address. To do so enter

Now enter the network mask. This is usually 255.255.255.0. If necessary,
ask your network administrator. Enter

This concludes initial configuration.
Now connect the "LINE" socket (see above) on the tiptel 106 VoIP with an analog
connection on your telephone system.
Then start the configuration program on a PC that is connected to the same network
as your tiptel 106 VoIP. Follow the installation wizard instructions. Then start the
"tiptel 106 VoIP" program in the "tiptel" folder.
If the CD does not start automatically, select "setup.exe" in the CD's main directory to
start the installation process manually.
Enter the IP address of the tiptel 106 VoIP that you have just set up or read into the
configuration program and connect it to the device.
After initial installation you are requested to enter an unlock code. You will find this on
the yellow sticker on the base of the tiptel 106 VoIP, directly below the MAC address.
