Connect the System Controller to battery power when the patient is active and mobile, outdoors,

1. Gather the equipment. 

2. Insert a charged HeartMate 14 Volt Lithium-Ion battery into each 14 Volt battery clip.

3. Place the batteries with attached battery clips within reach.
4. Place the black and white System Controller power cable connectors within reach
