6. Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the Power Module (

7. Leave the metal bracket and black clip in place, and use your finger to gently pull the wires 

and white connectors out away from the battery (

Figure 3.33

).

8. Complete the following steps to disconnect:

a. Gently squeeze the white latch on the connector to free the two halves. 
b. Pull the connector halves away from each other (

Note:  

The Power Module has audio and visual alarms that indicate that the unit is 

disconnected from AC power. The alarm is silenced by pressing the Silence Alarm button 
(

) on the user panel. The alarm clears when AC power is applied to the Power Module.
