6.1.1 General Configuration
Preparatory steps
To be able to configure the SpeedTouch™ successfully for the PPPoE Relay Service,
the following information must be available:
The VPI/VCI value of the Virtual Channel on which the connection is enabled.
The encapsulation method (normally LLC/SNAP).
The PPPoE interface’s IP configuration, either via a single IP address, or via
IPCP subnet masking.
The user name and password for the ISP account.
Optionally, a Service name and/or Access Concentrator name.
