FORWARD/REVERSE FOOTPEDAL (Fig.33 / 34)
With the engine running and the footpedal latched
into the neutral postion, the tractor should remain
stationary. If it moves, correct as follows.
IMPORTANT - Shut engine off between each
adjustment.
WARNING - Properly support raised machinery with
jacks.
1. Lift drive wheels off of ground.
2. Remove balljoint B from footpedal, let hang.
3. Start machine and check if wheels turn. If wheels
turn shut off engine. If not go to step 4.
a) Loosen balljoint locknut N.
b) Start engine
c) Turn bolt O until wheels stop turning.
d) Lightly push/pull on bolt O to check for play.
Adjust nut P if necessary to remove play in
spring. Repeat (b) above, if needed.
e) Tighten locknut N.
4. Reattach Balljoint A to footpedal. Start engine. If
wheels turn with foot pedal in neutral, stop
engine, loosen locknut and turn balljoint B in or
out as required on cable C. Reassemble to
footpedal. Repeat as needed. Tighten all nuts
loosened for adjustment.
