The boot jumper status can be read in the Utility Status Register. 

After board initialization the boot jumper determines the address of the next program 
instruction. 

The 8 bit wide socket Boot FLASH must always be installed and provide the board initialization 
code at the system reset vector.  

If used, the first instruction in the Memory FLASH must reside at address 0xFF00_0100.
