USE / LIMITATIONS OF USE / SECURITY
For all types of use, be sure to bear in mind that the
connectors (carabiners to EN 362) are closed and
locked properly (Pic. 5) and are not exposed to any
impermissible loads (e.g., transverse loads, loads
across edges,...) that can significantly reduce a
carabiner's breaking force (Pic. 6 + 7).

2. How to select an anchor point:
According to EN 795, the anchor point (anchor de-
vice) for personal protective equipment against falls
from a height must be able to withstand a force of
12 kN and meet the requirements specified in the
user’s guide of the fall protection system used. The
anchor point should always be located above the
user.
The connection between the harness and anchor
point must be suitable for the standard covering the
respective type of use and must have been certified
to it.

Fall arrest system (e.g., energy absorber to
EN 355, guided type fall arresters to EN 353-
1/2, retractable type fall arresters to EN 360)

Restraint system (e.g., lanyards to EN 354 or
EN 358)

Work positioning system (e.g., lanyards to
EN 354 or EN 358)
For use as a
restraint system
, the anchor point
must be located far enough from the fall-risk edge
so that the user will not be able to reach the fall-risk
edge when using the lanyard.
It is crucial to safety to select the position of the
anchor point and the way how the work is done
such that the free fall and
the height of a fall are
restricted to a minimum.
It is crucial to safety to
ensure prior to any work assignment that there is
enough free space at the work site under the user
(prevention of an impact on the ground or on an
obstacle).
Only a fall arrest harness may be used
as the
body holding device in a fall arrest system.
Pendulum motions during falls must be avoided
by selecting a suitable anchor point.
LIMITATIONS OF USE
The product must NOT be placed across sharp
edges without adequate additional protection
(protection against mechanical damage that
might reduce the product's breaking strength
or cause the product to tear)!
The
total length
of a subsystem to EN 354 with a
lanyard including an energy absorber, terminations,
and connectors
must not exceed 2m.
A lanyard must not be used
without an energy
absorber
in a, or as a, fall arrest system. Only a
fall arrest harness (EN 361) may be used as
a body
holding device in a fall arrest system.
Never carry out work with this product if, as a result
of your physical and mental condition,
your safety might be compromised in scenarios of
normal use or in emergencies!
It is not permitted to make any changes or amend-
ments that are not expressly described in this
manufacturer's information manual. Those may only
be carried out by the manufacturer.
It is not permitted to use permanent marker pens or
stickers to add individual labeling/marking directly
to the textile components of these products, as the
chemicals contained in such pens or stickers can
compromise the strength of these materials.
TO BE OBSERVED PRIOR TO USE
Prior to every use, this product must be subject to
a
visual inspection
in order to verify its integrity,
readiness for use and proper functioning.
Once the product has been subject to a fall, its use
must be discontinued immediately. If the slightest
doubt remains, the product must be retired or may
