Troubleshooting
The following notes and further detailed
information on our website
should help you to rectify malfunctions . If this does
not lead to success, please contact our hotline

Problem

Device is not working, the
display is dark .
No power supply .
Make sure the power plug is properly posi-
tioned .
Check the function of the socket with another
device .
Fuse is defective .

Disconnect the power
cord . Carefully pull
the fuse holder out of
the mains connection .

Push the old fuse
down and out . Insert
a new fuse (6 .3 A
delayed action) and
push the holder back .
No playback of CD/DVD/
BD .
No disc has been inserted .
Insert a CD/DVD/BD .
Disc has been inserted upside down .
Insert the disc with the labelled side facing
up .
The region code of the DVD/BD does not
correspond to that of the device .
Insert a DVD/BD with a corresponding region
code (2) .
The CD/DVD/BD is damaged or dirty .
Clean or change the disc .
Condensation in the device .
Take out the disc and do not use the device
for one to two hours while activated .
No picture .
The television set has not been turned on .
Turn on the television set .
An incorrect AV input has been selected
on the television set .
Select a suitable AV input on the television
(e .g . HDMI 1) .
Incorrect HDMI resolution has been config-
ured on the receiver .
Check the settings and change if applicable
(see page 19 “Resolution button” and page
13 “Display menu”) . To obtain a picture, cre-
ate a video connection to the TV set with the
VIDEO jack

(see page 9) if necessary .
The connector cable is incorrectly wired or
loose .
Correct the cable connections .
Connector cable is damaged .
Replace the connector cable .
Picture is fuzzy/distorted .
CD/DVD/BD is damaged or dirty .
Clean or change the disc .
The incorrect colour standard (PAL/NTSC)
has been set on the television set or
receiver .
Reset the colour standard (PAL/NTSC) (page
13) . PAL is the correct standard in Germany
and Western Europe (except from France) .
Disturbance caused by intermediary de-
vices, e .g . video recorder .
Connect the devices directly .
The image format of the receiver is incor-
rectly configured .
Correctly configure the image format (see
page 13) .
“No disc” on the display .
CD/DVD/BD is damaged, dirty, incompat-
ible or inserted upside down .
Clean or change the disc .
Skipping to the next track
or chapter does not work .
Some BD/DVDs do not permit skipping, for
example during the initial warning notice .
Continue playback .
The BD/DVD only has one chapter .
Alternative: Fast playback .
