DLNA mode
The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) is a trade
organisation formed by companies from the computer
and entertainment industry, which develop common
standards for connecting these devices . The IP 7000 BD
is a “Digital Media Player” (DMP) certified according
to DLNA and can connect with any local DLNA Digital
Media Server (DMS) via the network and play any media
available there .
DMS programs are available for all PC operating systems
and certain network hard-drives (NAS) also feature cor-
responding functions .
You require such a server on your network for DLNA
operation and DLNA operation must be activated (see
“dlna” in the “Network” menu on page 14) .
The IP 7000 BD automatically searches for DLNA servers
on the network and displays them in the “My media”
menu .
