Machine is inspected for any loose or missing parts.
Machine is properly stowed.
Trailer coupler is properly secured, locked and in proper
operating condition.
Safety chains are properly attached and secured (chains
are crossed below hitch) and not secured to detachable
hitch components.
Emergency breakaway cables are properly rigged to tow
vehicle and not to detachable hitch components.
Tires are properly inflated and in proper working
condition.
All wheel lugs are in place and properly torqued.
All lights are connected and working.
Drive wheel and side outriggers are retracted and
stowed
The electric brake controller is adjusted to engage the
trailer brakes before the tow vehicle brakes.
The trailer parking brake is released.
Rear and side mirrors are properly adjusted.
Safety restraints are fastened.
Tow the trailer at speeds that will keep it under control
considering the road and weather conditions.
Slow down for hazardous conditions (including corners).
Do not exceed the speed limits.
Check connections and tire pressure at each stop.
Allow extra distance for following and passing other
vehicles.
and outrigger safety chains are properly secured
to the outriggers.
