Models without Filter Condition Indicator:
Note: Models without a filter condition indicator
cannot be inspected. At the required maintenance
interval, replace the filters.
Hydraulic Tank Cap (if equipped):
1 Remove the breather cap from the hydraulic
tank.
2 Check for proper venting.
Result: Air passes through the breather cap.
Proceed to step 4.
Result: If air does not pass through the cap,
clean or replace the cap. Proceed to step 3.
Note: When checking for positive tank cap venting,
air should pass freely through the cap.
3 Using a mild solvent, carefully wash the cap
venting system. Dry using low pressure
compressed air. Repeat this procedure
beginning with step 2.
4 Install the breather cap onto the hydraulic
tank.

Check and Adjust the Engine
RPM
Engine specifications require that this procedure
be performed quarterly.
Maintaining the engine rpm at the proper setting
for both low and high idle is essential to good
engine performance and service life. The machine
will not operate properly if the rpm is incorrect and
continued use may cause component damage.
Note: These procedures do not apply to the
following engine models. The engine RPM is
controlled by the ECM and can only be adjusted
by re-programming the ECM. If RPM or service is
required, please contact Genie Product Support.
