Hydraulic Tank
The primary functions of the hydraulic tank are to
cool and deaerate the hydraulic fluid during
operation. It utilizes internal suction strainers for
the pump supply lines and has an external return
line filter.
How to Remove the Hydraulic
Tank
Component damage hazard.
The work area and surfaces
where this procedure will be
performed must be clean and
free of debris that could get into
the hydraulic system.
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hose
end must be replaced. All connections must be
torqued to specification during installation. Refer to
Specifications,
Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Torque
Specifications.
Perform this procedure with the platform in the
stowed position.
1 Disconnect the battery pack from the
machine.
Electrocution/burn hazard.
Contact with electrically charged
circuits could result in death or
serious injury. Remove all rings,
watches and other jewelry.
2 Tag and disconnect the hydraulic tank return
hard line from the filter. Remove the hard line
from the machine. Cap the fitting on the filter
head.
3 Tag and disconnect the hydraulic tank hard
line from the pump. Remove the hard line
from the machine. Cap the fitting on the
pump.
4 Remove the hydraulic tank retaining fasteners
and remove the hydraulic tank from the
machine.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.
5 Remove the hydraulic tank cap and drain the
tank into a suitable container.
Torque specifications
Hydraulic retaining fasteners, dry
35 in-lbs
4 Nm
Hydraulic tank retaining fasteners,
lubricated
26 in-lbs
2,9 Nm
