Appendix 4 Commercial Fire 6-hour Supervision
The NFPA 72 2013 Edition updated the requirement to supervise the transmission path in a dual
path configuration to at least once every 6 hours, from an earlier version of 24 hours. This
requirement is upheld in 2016 and 2019 edition as well. Telguard commercial fire products support
this feature, and it must be enabled when using more than one path, by selecting 6-hour supervision
during registration.
