10 .2 . Software Upgrade

The USB interface allows you to update the operating software of your receiver . To
do this, you will require the appropriate software, which can be downloaded from www
TELESTAR de . This can then be saved on an appropriate storage medium . Which can be
connected to the receiver via the USB interface .

Call up the menu „USB Module“ and use the arrow keys up/down to select the

menu item „Software upgrade“, confirm by pressing OK . Then select the path for

the update file .

Press OK, the update will be started automatically . When the update procedure

has been completed, the receiver will be automatically restarted . To activate the

update, you must call up the factory default settings (Point 8 .3 in this operating

manual) after the software has been updated .

NOTE! Do not interrupt the update, do not remove the USB stick while the update is in
progress . This may damage the receiver!

10 .3 . Database backup

If you would like to save individually customised programme lists securely, you can also
do this via the USB interface . Connect an appropriate USB storage medium with the recei-
ver .
