4.1.1 Install an Internal Shutter
Perform the following procedure to install an internal shutter:
1.
Using a 9/64” hex wrench, unscrew the four (4) socket head screws that secure the
Turret Compartment cover to the top of the IsoPlane. Lift the cover and screws off of
the IsoPlane and set them aside.
2.
Carefully remove the grating turret. Refer to Section 3.2, Remove a Turret , on page 19
for complete information.
CAUTION!
!
Exercise extreme caution when handling the grating turret so as
not to touch the grating surfaces.
3.
Mount the shutter assembly on the two socket head screws above the entrance slit. If
necessary, back the screws out approximately five turns in order to allow the slots to slip
over the mounting screws. See Figure 4-1 .

4.
Use a 9/64” hex wrench to tighten down the two screws.
5.
Connect the shutter cable to the connector in the floor of the IsoPlane. Verify that the
connector on the cable aligns with the connector in the floor. See Figure 4-2 .
