4.3.3 Cable Farm layout of Cable Recommendations
The spacing between cables is most important to limit coupling and crosstalk. Leaving the cable on a spool is convenient
but may result in higher coupling than occurs in the field and therefore not representative testing.
•
Prevent folding a cable back and forth along its length where each length is nearby the previous length.
•
Prevent placing different cables close to each other.
•
For the higher frequencies of G.fast increasing separation of the cables is crucial.
•
An alternate to increased spacing is to place each cable in an enclosed metal conduit tray to isolate them from
each other.
